It occurred to me that since starting the blog I have been keeping a wonderful record of Cael's stats from all of his doctor's appointments. I wanted to include information from his previous appointments to give a little perspective to his progress today and his growth going forward (not to mention always knowing where to look to find the information)!!
Two week appointment (11/29/07)
Height: 21.5 in. (born at 22 in. but lost a half an inch due to his 'cone head')
Weight: 7 lbs 5.6 oz (born at 7 lbs 9 oz - they typically lose weight after birth and then gain it back within the first two weeks. The pediatrician was concerned b/c he had not gained back the weight, but there were issues with nursing and after this appointment is when I decided to give up nursing and strictly formula feed).
Head Circumference (HC): 36.7 cm
He was in the 80th percentile for height, 20th percentile for weight and 40th percentile for HC.
Two month appointment (1/16/08)
Height: 24.5 in.
Weight: 11 lbs 12.8 oz
Head Circumference (HC): 40.5 cm
He was in the 95th percentile for height, 50th percentile for weight and 60th percentile for HC.
Four month appointment (3/17/08)
Height: 26.5 inches
Weight: 16 lbs 4.6 oz
Head Circumference (HC): 43 cm.
He was in the 90th percentile for height, 80th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for HC.
