Ryan and I went to a Creighton Alumni event about a month and a half ago and met some really great people. I have only been to two (this being my second) and was very surprised to meet not one, but two couples our age. Geoff and Ashley were introduced to us right away because Ashley works for Wells Fargo as well in the Private Banking sector. The two of them and their two (plus one - Ashley is pregnant with their third) kids had just moved to Colorado a couple of weeks prior to our meeting. We hit it off immediately and made plans to get everyone together at a later date. We invited them over on Sunday July 11th to go swimming (neighborhood pool) and enjoy some burgers and hot dogs on the grill. Their daughter Avery is four and she and Cael were instant best friends other than the fact that Cael had a hard time sharing any of his toys. Their son Davis is only a month older than Aveyn, but is already walking around. It was fun watching the kids and also get a chance to learn more about Geoff and Ashley. It was the perfect afternoon and we are looking forward to not only hanging out again, but to also meeting their son, Gavin who is actually due on 9/9/10 (Aveyn was born on 9/9/9).
